Q.   When can I make a reservation?

Anytime, our operations are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Although we will do our best to accommodate our customers on a short notice; however, we do recommend that you make your reservations at least 24 hours in advance.


Q.  Where exactly do you meet the passenger?

At the airport:
1.   Pick ups outside of the terminal building, our chauffeur will be waiting for you at the passenger pick up area with a sign in the car’s window that shows your name. After you collect your luggage and are ready to go, call our office and we'll direct the chauffeur to meet you. If you do not see or make a contact with your chauffeur, please call our toll free number 1-866-840-4141 to avoid a "no-show" charge.
2.   Pick ups inside of the terminal for domestic flights, our chauffeur will meet you by the baggage claim area. For international flights, our chauffeur will meet you outside customs. In both cases, the chauffeur will be holding a sign that shows your last name.

If the pickup is in a location such as a residence or office, we'll contact you 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup time and provide you with the car number and its location. Here again you should call our office if you do not make contact with your chauffeur, to avoid a “no-show” charge.


Q.   Do you monitor my flight, and do I have to call you if my flight is delayed?

ROYALTON has a satellite tracking system that updates your flight arrival information every three minutes. If your flight is delayed, canceled or diverted, we will be informed.


Q.   Do you reconfirm my reservation?

ROYALTON does reconfirm all departures with the passenger. If you have a morning departure, a ROYALTON’S representative will call you the night before, and if you have an afternoon or evening departure, you will receive a call in the morning to re-confirm all of the information.


Q.   How do I pay for my ride?

We require a valid credit card on file in order to reserve a car. We will get an approval from the processor before the ride, and will submit the actual charge after the ride is complete. Although our quotes are all-inclusive, there might be a charge for excessive waiting time, or additional stops.
You may wish to pay for your ride in cash, but we must still have a Credit Card on file to secure the reservation.
Credit card holder must be present to pay for the ride. In the event that this is not possible, a "fax authorization form" must be filled out and faxed to us.


Q.   What is your waiting time policy?

Wait time starts 30 minutes after the arrival time at airport locations. For non airport locations, the vehicle will be there at the designated time, and waiting time charges will start 15 minutes after the reservation time.
The waiting time charges are based on the hourly rates of the vehicle and are computed in 15 minutes increments.


Q.   What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your reservation without being charged: 2 hour before the pick up time for Manhattan, 3 hours for airports, 4 hours for out of town pick ups.


Q.   What is a “No-Show”?

If you fail to meet the driver at the designated time and location, you must contact us before leaving to avoid “No-Show” charges. A “no-show” charge is the rate quoted plus additional waiting time and parking charges (if any).


Q.   How much luggage can I bring along?

Please keep in mind that our cars are not designed to accept luggage on the passenger seats which can easily be damaged by oversized or heavy cases. You may need a bigger vehicle than you think if you take along skis or golf clubs. Please contact our office with any questions.


Q.   What vehicles do you have in your fleet?

All our vehicles are late model luxury sedans and SUVs. Our sedans are mostly Black Lincoln Town Cars, but we also have European Luxury cars. We have vehicles to match your needs. Please call our office with inquiries.


Q.   How much General Liability Insurance do you carry per vehicle?

Every vehicle has at $1,000,000 liability insurance.


Q.   Are your chauffeurs drug-screened?

Yes, our chauffeurs undergo a mandatory annual drug screenings. In addition, they are entered into a random drug-screening pool.


Q.   What kind of on-going safety monitoring does your company do?

All of our chauffeurs are monitored through the New York State License Event Notification System. Motor vehicle reports are also pulled for each driver 4 times per year.
